TOGETHER, YOU AND BIG SMILES CAN IMPROVE THE ORAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS IN A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

STEP 1: We ship consent forms to your school so they can be distributed to and collected from students.  We include a pre-paid envelope so it’s easy to send them back to us.  We ask the school to distribute these forms once or twice per year.  The school does not need to triage the forms as we will do that at our office.

STEP 2: Once we receive the consent forms from your school, we’ll triage them and call you to schedule a convenient date or dates to visit your school when you have a room available for us to use (need 180 sq.ft.)

STEP 3: A few days before we visit we’ll send the school a list of the children scheduled to be seen.  We average 15-20 children each time we visit the school.

STEP 4: We arrive and set up in the room within 30 minutes on the scheduled days.  We need a space of 180 sqft and we don’t require a sink in the room.  We take the lead on retrieving children from class and making sure they get back.

STEP 5: Children receive dental care from our staff which includes 1 Dentist and 2-3 Assistants and/or Hygienists.  Each child is out of class 20-45 minutes typically, depending on what level of care they are receiving.

STEP 6: The school health office will receive a report and the parent will receive a copy too.  All information is recorded in our tablet PC so we know when the child is due for follow-up or their check up.

STEP 7: We will contact the school to schedule additional clinics to accommodate new patients and to see current patients for follow-up care. Each school is given a point-of-contact to handle all scheduling and questions.

  - "Hey, don't forget STEP 8 - the kids give YOU a big 'thank you' for the relief of toothaches and healthier  teeth by doing better in class."
